After a hearty breakfast, we’ll explore some of Egypt’s most intriguing pyramids the following morning. Our first stop is the Lahun Pyramid, known for its distinctive design. Built atop an existing limestone mound, it rises 12 meters high, reducing the labor required for its construction.
The entrance leads to a labyrinth of passages surrounding the burial chamber, designed ingeniously to confound potential thieves. Inside, you’ll find the king’s coffin crafted from light red granite.
Our journey then takes us to the Meidum Pyramid, often considered the first true pyramid constructed during ancient Egyptian Pharaonic times. Its square form is a testament to its initial, unfinished state.
After an enlightening exploration, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch before proceeding with our driver by car to Cairo International Airport.
