Day Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Tour to Giza Pyramids - Saqqara - Memphis

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, Our representative will greet you, holding a signboard with your name. You’ll be transported to your Cairo or Giza hotel in a private vehicle. At the hotel, our agent will assist you with check-in, or if it’s early, you can leave your luggage and embark on your Giza Pyramids tour with an English-speaking guide.

Stand in awe of the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the last remaining wonder of the ancient world. This colossal structure, built 4500 years ago, soars 146 meters in height and spans 230 meters on each side, a testament to the remarkable achievements of the ancient Egyptian kings.

Ascend to the high plateau to admire all three pyramids, including those of King Chephren and King Mycerinus. Optionally, take a camel ride around the pyramids for a unique perspective. Explore the majestic Sphinx of Giza, a symbol of royal power, with the body of a lion and a man’s head believed to represent the king.

Near the Sphinx lies the Valley Temple of Chephren, where royal mummification was part of funeral rituals.

Savor a delicious lunch at a scenic restaurant overlooking the pyramids and the Sphinx. Continue your Giza exploration with a visit to Saqqara, the necropolis predating the Giza pyramids—Marvel at the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, designed by the genius architect Imhotep.

Explore the Hep-Sed court, witness the original enclosure walls, and venture inside the pyramid of King Teti from the 6th dynasty. Discover the remarkable tomb of Kagemni, featuring intricate scenes of daily life and hunting, perfectly preserved in original colors.

Your journey continues to the ancient city of Memphis, Egypt’s first capital, now an open-air museum with statues of King Ramses II and the alabaster sphinx, the second-largest in Egyptian history.

After a day of Cairo exploration, you can enjoy evening activities like the Sound and Light Show at Giza Pyramids or a Nile Dinner Cruise in Cairo.

Day 2: Tour to Saladin Citadel - Coptic Cairo - Khan El-Khalili

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel, where you’ll meet your expert Egyptologist guide for an enchanting Islamic and Coptic Cairo Tour.

Your journey commences at the Citadel of Saladin, a historic fortress built by the renowned Muslim leader Saladin El-Ayyubi in the 12th century to protect Egypt from Crusader invasions. The centerpiece of the citadel is the striking Mosque of Mohamed Ali, reminiscent of Turkish architectural influences.

Mohamed Ali, brought to Egypt by the Ottoman Sultan to expel the French occupation, ultimately seized power in 1805. The mosque is famously known as the Alabaster Mosque due to its extensive use of white alabaster.

Next, explore Old Cairo with a visit to the Roman Fortress of Babylon, now in ruins except for the base, which cradles the Hanging Church of the Holy Virgin Mary, suspended on two fortress towers. Discover the Cavern Church of St. Serius and the oldest Ben Ezra Synagogue, which once served as a Christian church before being acquired by a Jewish figure named Ben Ezra.

Indulge in a delectable lunch before embarking on a Cairo shopping tour in the renowned Khan El-Khalili market. Enjoy a mint tea or a refreshing mango juice at a local cafe, observing the lively street scenes and market vendors in the Al Hussein area. Your tour guide will unveil the historical charm of Al-Moez Street, showcasing architectural gems from bygone eras.

Tour FAQ

Can I get a refund if I cancel the tour?

The refund policy for canceling a tour can vary depending on the tour company, the terms and conditions you agreed to when booking the tour, and the circumstances surrounding your cancellation. It’s best to refer to our terms and conditions page or contact us to inquire about the refund policy for cancellations.

Can I change the travel date?

In general, it is often possible to change the travel date, but it may be subject to certain conditions and fees. Airlines, for instance, typically offer options to change flight dates, but they may charge a change fee and any difference in fare. It’s important to review the terms and conditions of your ticket or booking and the policies of the airline or travel agency you booked to understand the options available to you.

Similarly, hotels and other accommodations may have different policies regarding date changes. Some may allow free or low-cost changes if made within a certain time frame, while others may have more restrictive policies or charge a fee for modifications.

To determine whether you can change the travel date and the associated costs or requirements, I recommend contacting the airline, hotel, or travel agency you booked with. They will be able to provide you with accurate and up-to-date information based on your circumstances.

Remember, it’s always a good idea to review the cancellation and change policies before making any travel arrangements to understand your options in case of unforeseen circumstances or changes to your plans.

Do I need to apply visa?

Travelers often must obtain a visa before entering a foreign country. A visa is an official document issued by the destination government that permits you to enter and stay for a certain period. Some countries have visa waiver agreements with certain nationalities, allowing visitors to enter without a visa for a specified period. However, this exemption usually has limitations, such as the purpose of travel or the length of stay.

It is important to note that visa requirements can change, so checking for updates before making any travel arrangements is recommended. Allow enough time for the visa to be processed, as it can sometimes take several weeks or even months. You can contact us to help you obtain the visa.
